Russian scientists have created a platform for recording dreams

The platform of the National Technological Initiative (NTI) told the source that a special complex is being developed in its bowels, which will allow recording human dreams.

Despite the fact that apart from the details it sounds fantastic, in fact, there are no incredible technological solutions here, but the result is not the same as you can see in science fiction films or books.

So, we are talking about ordinary EEG data, and the highlight is neural networks. It is artificial intelligence that allows now with a sufficiently high accuracy to interpret EEG data obtained during sleep. Of course, we are not talking about a full-fledged videotape of dreams.

NTI scientists began experiments in the field of reconstructing images in the brain in 2019. Then it was determined that the videos of various topics shown to people cause significantly different forms of brain wave activity in the participants of the experiments. And then neural networks came into play, which were trained on this data in order to work in the opposite direction – to interpret the activity of the brain.

NTI experts suggest that it will be possible to record one’s own dreams with the help of a special neuro-headset as early as 2025.
