Faced with provocative movements came the crew of the American aircraft carrier USS HW Bush and its escort in the Adriatic.
A Russian military unit reportedly carried out provocative actions against the US aircraft carrier in the Straits of Otranto, a point where natural gas pipelines, energy networks and Internet cables between Italy and the Balkans converge.
The start of the mission of the Russian ship Akademik Pashi started last week from the Syrian port of Tartus and has been in the Otranto channel since Wednesday.
As reported by independent websites, theAkademik Pashin” remained on Thursday, almost motionless for hours in a very sensitive spot.
⚓️ The situation is not clear but there are several elements that suggest that the Russian Navy is active again in the Adriatic#NATO #Russia #Ukrainehttps://t.co/aBzkskVBcC

“Akademik Pashin” is a special ship intended to accompany the long-range missions of the Russian fleet, but is often used in reconnaissance missions for NATO activities.
hey @ItaMilRadar, any Italian warships operating with 🇺🇸CSG 10? Interesting spot of a ~134M warship 4.6km south of the Leyte Gulf (with the USS GHWBush just north of them). I know the Andrea Doria was with them but she is ~153M in length. (Sentinel 2📸, morning of Dec 20, 2022) pic.twitter.com/JreW8WefbO
