Russian smartphone on the domestic system “Aurora” went on sale

Today, on December 14, the Russian company Aquarius, which is an enterprise within the National Computer Corporation, together with Open Mobile Platform, a subsidiary of Rostelecom, officially launched the Aquarius NS M11 smartphone on sale, which is in the register of Russian radio-electronic products of the Ministry industry and trade of the Russian Federation is listed in the category of pocket personal computers (PDA). It is worth noting that this is the first smartphone that was completely designed and manufactured in Russia, the Kommersant news publication reported.

The new smartphone is running on the domestic mobile operating system “Aurora” under version 4.x, for the development and integration of which the “Open Mobile Platform” is responsible. And the system on a chip with eight processing cores is responsible for the performance of the device – the manufacturer did not provide more accurate characteristics about the cores and clock frequency. The smartphone also boasts an impressive 6.67-inch display and a 5000 mAh battery. That is, the characteristics are quite comparable with modern foreign-made smartphones.

Unfortunately, so far, ordinary users will not be provided with the opportunity to purchase such a smartphone – Aquarius NS M11 is available for purchase exclusively for corporate customers. Probably because of this, at the time of the start of sales, the company does not provide a complete list of the characteristics of the new gadget. And there is no information about the cost of a smartphone either – the manufacturer only said that by the end of this year it is planned to release a batch of 2,000 copies, and the cost of the gadget will depend on the specific order for the batch.
