The Yandex team announced the launch of the Russian-language voiceover function for foreign videos for three more languages.
As a reminder, in September, automatic Russian voice acting was launched for videos in English, which made it easier to view English videos on many popular platforms, including YouTube and Vimeo.
Now they can watch videos with Russian voice acting in three more languages ​​- French, Spanish and German. Voice acting is available both on computers and smartphones. A voice assistant will help you launch videos with voiceover on your smartphone, just say: “Alice, turn on video translation.”
The same technology is used to translate new languages ​​as for English. First, the system recognizes speech and turns it into text, translates it, and then synthesizes the voice and combines it with the video sequence.
Translation is available in Yandex Browser for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android and in the Yandex application for Android and iOS.
