According to MTS analysts, according to the results of the third quarter, 8.4 million smartphones were sold in Russia, which is 4% less than a year earlier. However, at the same time, revenue increased by an impressive 24% to 192 billion rubles, which is due to the higher average selling price. It grew by 29% to almost 23,000 rubles.

The representative of MTS noted that the Russian market for budget smartphones is rapidly shrinking. Last quarter, the number of devices priced under 5,000 rubles fell by almost half, while sales in the category from 5,000 to 10,000 rubles dropped by 29%. At the same time, the demand for premium models with a price of over 40,000 rubles has grown by one and a half times.

The leader of our market as a whole was Xiaomi (including Poco), occupying 33.3%. Next comes Samsung with 30.1%, and Apple closes the top three with 14.8%. Also worth noting are Realme (6%) and Honor (1.8%). In monetary terms, of course, Apple is in the lead (40.5%), followed by Samsung (28.8%) and Xiaomi (20.7%).
