Russia’s anger and sending a note to the US: Stop sending weapons to Ukraine

Russia has sent an official note to the United States urging the Biden government to stop sending weapons to Ukraine, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said on Monday.

In an interview with state-run Russian television channel Russia-24, Antonov criticized Washington’s latest $ 800 million arms package for Ukraine.

President Joe Biden announced military aid on April 21, pledging to send heavy artillery, ammunition, and new Phoenix Ghost unmanned aerial vehicles developed by the U.S. Air Force to Ukraine.

Antonov told the TV channel that the arms shipment to Kyiv “does not contribute to the search for a diplomatic solution and settlement of the situation.”

“This is a huge number,” he said.

Antonov said the Kremlin in its official note stressed the “unacceptable” supply of weapons to Ukraine by the United States.

“We demanded an end to this practice,” the diplomat said.

He accused the United States of “trying to increase the stakes and worsen the situation.”
