“I call on Member States to move forward with the second booster dose for everyone over 60 and all vulnerable people immediately, and I urge everyone in these categories to get vaccinated. This is how we protect ourselves, our loved ones and the vulnerable our populations,” emphasizes Ms. Kyriakidou.
At the same time, he points out that “our vaccines for COVID-19 are working and offer good levels of protection against serious illness and hospitalization. With cases and hospitalizations rising again as we enter the summer season, I urge everyone to get vaccinated and boosted as much as possible faster. There’s no time to waste.”
