S & P / Case-Shiller Home Price Index Up 11.9%

Data from the US real estate sector: showed a continuity in the rise in the price of homes. The S & P / Case Shiller index in January climbed 11.9%, compared to a year ago, figures higher than the 11.7% expected and higher than the 11.1% of the previous month.

For its part, the íFHFA Index of February home prices rose 0.9%. The increase in the index is still around 1% per month.

The Conference Board’s consumer confidence report will be released later on Tuesday. Wednesday will be the key event of the week with the Federal Reserve’s decision.
