Safra de Inovações, Agro’s 1st reality show, awards management and logistics startup

From drones to projects that produce rain. From biotechnology to agroeconomic management platform. From applications to training and digitalization of rural workers.

There were many ideas and solutions presented for agribusiness. The reality show “Safra de Inovações – O Desafio das Startups do Agro” showed all Brazilians that innovation and technology can and should be used by rural producers of all sizes, to increase productivity, in a responsible way, preserving the environment with sustainability.

Three finalists presented projects that were totally necessary and disruptive for the sector. And the big winner was Durval Carneiro, CEO & Founder of the startup Trucker do Agro, who presented a management and reverse logistics project, which allows rural producers to make the best freight quotes, planning, optimize resources with transport and avoid waste, that even impacts the cost of living for Brazilians. An extremely relevant project for the sector, especially in a country as large as Brazil.

As an award, the two finalists received mentorship from John Deere executives in Brazil. And the big winner, an immersion in the agribusiness and John Deere innovation centers in the USA, the John Deere Technology Innovation Center in Illinois.

Even for those who do not have Wi-Fi or cell phone signal on their property, simply upload the data via a flash drive, which will be made available at the Operations Center.

In this way, the concessionaire has remote technical support and greater predictability of possible failures, fleet monitoring, the possibility of sharing data with business partners and full support for agronomic decisions.
