The President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou received the Prime Minister of the State of Bavaria Dr. Markus Söder, Karl Freller, Vice-President of the local Parliament, and Thomas Kreuzer, Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CSU).
The talks focused on Greek-German relations and in particular the possibility of further development of cooperation with the state of Bavaria in the economic and cultural field, given the historical relations of our country with the region of Bavaria.
Reference was made to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the chain effects, such as the energy crisis, the food threat and the wave of accuracy.
Finally, the need for solidarity and determination of the Member States of the European Union was emphasized, in order to face these complex challenges and for the European peoples to come together.
