Samsung Electronics has announced the start of the new Jet Bot AI + vacuum cleaner.
According to the manufacturer, it is the world’s first robotic vacuum cleaner equipped with an active 3D “stereo” sensor and Intel AI solution based on artificial intelligence system for accurate and efficient cleaning.
The Samsung Jet Bot AI + robot vacuum cleaner is available to Russian users at a suggested retail price of 89,990 rubles. Until July 20, 2021, pre-orders are accepted and a special offer is in effect: customers are given a promotional code for 10,000 rubles for future purchases or a 5,000 discount on the vacuum cleaner itself.
As noted by Samsung, the new 3D camera is 256 thousand times more effective than a “conventional” distance sensor and can detect obstacles up to 1 cm in size. This allows you to go around small objects that are usually difficult to recognize.
Intel AI solution allows the device to navigate with greater accuracy and “see” not only things on the floor, but also household appliances and furniture. The manufacturer explains:
As a result, the robot will come close to objects such as children’s toys, but at the same time keep a safe distance from fragile items, such as floor vases. In addition, the user can classify other objects as potentially hazardous or likely to cause secondary contamination – for example, pet excrement, glasses or wires. “
Also noted for LiDAR for accurate positioning, including in dark rooms and under furniture, inverter motor with intelligent power adjustment function, 5-level filtration system capable of capturing particles with a size of 0.5 ~ 4.2 μm.
At the Clean Station docking station, the vacuum cleaner cleans the waste container; at the station, the 2.5-liter bag is designed to be replaced every one to three months. The vacuum cleaner can be controlled from the SmartThings application – schedule cleaning in one or several rooms, set “restricted zones”. Bixby voice control is also supported.
Interestingly, Jet Bot AI + also allows remote video surveillance – video from the front camera is broadcast in real time via the SmartThings app. Including, monitor the condition of pets. Moreover, the service is synchronized with intelligent pet products from Petkit, in particular, with Element feeders and Cozy houses.
