A German rescuer was caught on video hitting one in the face refugee from Syria who was tied to a stretcher.
The attack took place on a refugee structure and the victim suffered a fracture of the cheekbone. Her passive attitude made an impression police.
She stated that they had tied the 32-year-old man to the stretcher, because he had previously attacked them drunk.
The material from the closed circuit reached Bild, which in its report broadcasts that the rescuer was fired and the police are being checked for their action.
The incident took place in a Kassel refugee facility last November. The police report had even completely omitted the attack.
Police reports spoke of a drunken refugee (simply called Amar H) who emptied a fire extinguisher. When he saw the police, he threatened them with a ladder.
The man continued to resist his arrest. He spent the night in custody and was charged the next day.
But the video shows another incident that was left out of the official report. When asked by Bild, the city police initially denied the attack on the detained refugee, but later admitted that the 44-year-old rescuer it hit him.
The two police officers present did nothing. According to Bild, which cites medical records, the victim suffered a broken face. This angered the refugee lawyer, Adnan Aykac, who blamed the police and filed a lawsuit.
The Kassel prosecutor’s office said the incident was being investigated.
