Salomão takes office as new National Inspector of Justice of the CNJ

Minister Luis Felipe Salomão, of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), took office this Tuesday (30) as the new National Justice Inspector of the National Council of Justice (CNJ).

The ceremony was attended by several authorities, including President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the presidents of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), and of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), the president of the Superior Court. Electoral Council (TSE), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, and other STF ministers, such as Dias Toffoli, Rosa Weber and Gilmar Mendes.

The new magistrate will replace the minister Maria Thereza de Assis Moura, sworn in as president of the STJ in a ceremony held on the 25th. He will remain in office for two years. The nomination was made by President Bolsonaro after being approved by the Senate floor.

The National Justice Department, which is part of the National Justice Council (CNJ), acts in the orientation, coordination and execution of public policies aimed at correctional activity and the good performance of the country’s courts and courts.

Its main purpose is to achieve greater effectiveness in judicial provision, acting on the basis of the constitutional principles of legality, impersonality, morality, publicity and efficiency.

In his hearing in the Senate, Salomão said that he will concentrate his efforts to increase the procedural efficiency of the Brazilian Judiciary, having as main strategies the promotion of greater agility in the processing of judicial processes and the encouragement of dejudicialization based on the application of adequate means of conflict resolution.
