Sam Altman left OpenAI for Microsoft

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman left position and resigned from the directors. His duties will be temporarily performed by technical director Mira Murati.

OpenAI explained that the dismissal was the result of a thorough analysis.

“He was not consistently forthcoming with the board of directors, which interfered with his ability to carry out his duties. The board of directors no longer has confidence in his ability to continue to lead OpenAI,” the statement said.
