With the proximity of Carnival 2025 TV Globo will show, from this Saturday (15), at 14:25, a new program that, besides recalling the transformations of Carioca associations Over the 60 years of partnership with the station, it also brings stories of personalities that make the revelry.
Baptized from “Samba Apoteose: Carnival from then on” the attraction will be led by Milton Cunha and Mariana Gross, who take a tour of the city and the various segments of schools. The idea is to show the essence of the revelry and all the evolution in items such as battery and front committee.
“[…] I had never seen many images that will be displayed on this program myself, and it’s creepy. It is very good to remember, it refers to our childhood. But the program is very current too. We managed to pull the secrets of schools today, as they develop the plot. It’s very exciting, ”Gross said in a press release.
“Last year we made a samba celebration for the 40 years of apotheosis. This year, the program is a thinking about the past and future of samba schools, ”added Milton Cunha.
Historical records and special participation
With three episodes, the program will start in Cinelândia, considered one of the most iconic points of Rio de Janeiro, with historical records of the party in 1965. Leaving there, the duo walks through the timeline that follows the history of Rio de Rio de Janeiro January and carnival communities.
Among the bambas invited on this tour, there is a highlight for Neguinho da Beija-Flor, Pitty de Menezes (Empress Leopoldinense), Bell Barbosa (Tuiuti support), Aunt Surica (President of Honor and Baluarte of Portela) and Xande de Pilares (composer of Salgueiro), Noble Dudu.
Already actress Paolla Oliveira (Grande Rio) and Professor Dedé Marinho (United of Father Miguel), tell details of the preparation of the queens and the importance of tune between majesties and rhythmists.
Finally, to talk about the front committee, the attraction has the collaboration of the Coreographers Priscilla Mota and Rodrigo Negri, Viradouro, Carlinhos de Jesus and two members of the Old Guard of the Empress.
