THE Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy Ring in Brazil this Wednesday (18). The pre-sale is available online and has values reaching R$ 3,499 .
The device uses user data to provide health insights generated through artificial intelligence (AI). The ring is designed to provide data focused on sleep and exercise.
The company said in July at its Galaxy Unpacked event — where it unveiled the device — that Ring is designed to work 24/7. Made of titanium, it has a comfortable design and weighs as little as 3 grams, so it can be worn as an accessory.
According to the announcement made by the company, it can survive different temperatures and relative humidity levels, in addition to withstanding many recharges.
When it comes to sleep, the Galaxy Ring detects snoring, movement during the night, heart rate, and respiratory rate. This data generates a score based on factors such as sleep duration, depth, and continuity, and insights into possible improvements for a restful night.
Based on your physical health, the ring makes recommendations on exercises to help you focus on improving your health. The device’s AI uses information about your sleep, activity, sleeping heart rate, and sleeping heart rate variability to help you make these recommendations.
Pre-sale is available from Samsung website and has values that reach R$ 3,499.
