Samsung browser has learned to synchronize with Chrome. And become safer

Samsung continues to develop a proprietary browser for its Android devices. On August 23, the developers introduced the beta version of the next Samsung Internet update number 19.0, which received many innovations. In the official blog, the lion’s share of attention is paid to innovations in the field of privacy, but one of the most notable features was synchronization with Chrome for computers (thanks to a special extension) – users from a smartphone can see bookmarks on a computer and vice versa. The company did not report any other synchronization features.

In the previous version of Samsung Internet (18.0), the smart anti-tracking feature has been improved to help prevent cross-site trackers from being used to bypass standard blockers. Now this AI-powered technology is getting even better, aiming to “detect domains colluding with classified trackers and apply protection immediately.”

Also in the updated Samsung Internet, it became possible to quickly view privacy information for a specific site – just click on the lock icon in the address bar, and the browser will show the permissions granted to a particular web page, the number of blocked trackers, as well as the number of cookies (with the ability to quickly delete them) .

Even in the browser, there was a visualization of how many ads and when were blocked by the installed blockers.

Another useful innovation is the ability to use extensions even in incognito mode – according to Samsung, users no longer have to choose between privacy and convenience. The availability of a particular extension for secret mode can be turned on and off in the settings.
