Samsung Electronics has published a report on the results of the first quarter of fiscal year 2022. And this quarter was another very successful one for the company.

The manufacturer’s revenue grew by 18% to $61.19 billion, while operating profit jumped by 51% to $11.1 billion. More than half of all profits were generated by the semiconductor division, which is not surprising given the situation in this market.
The mobile division also posted strong growth on the back of strong Galaxy S22 Ultra sales, strong demand for 5G smartphones in general, and solid sales of other devices, including tablets and smartwatches.
The MX and Networks divisions combined generated $25.5 billion in revenue and $3 billion in operating income. In the next quarter, Samsung expects a slight decrease in demand in the smartphone market amid the pandemic and geopolitical instability.
