Samsung Electronics has finally responded to complaints from users of the flagship Galaxy S21 smartphones who were unhappy with the camera’s performance, especially when switching between different modes and zoom levels.

No fix has been provided yet, but Samsung has at least informed the public that the issue is known.
In a support forum, one of Samsung’s camera engineers confirmed the performance issue, stating:
We confirm that latency occurs when there is not enough memory or processing resources under certain conditions, including portrait mode. “
A Samsung spokesman also confirmed that the Korean manufacturer is working on a fix and plans to release it with the June firmware update.
