The shooting was carried out by Pedro Varela’s Blanche Filmes, as well as the production company Ecce Film, whose logo was once drawn by Pessoa himself. Filming took place over six days in the cities of Viana do Castelo, Sintra and Lisbon. The roles were played by famous Portuguese actors Tiago Felizardo and Soraia Tavares, as well as foreign actors Mick Greer, Chris Murphy and Soren Hellerup.

When Samsung and Uzina asked me to bring this almost unknown side of Fernando Pesoa’s work to life, I didn’t hesitate. I immediately felt all the honor and great responsibility given to me for working on a history written a century ago by one of our greatest cultural figures. I love creating characters and giving them voices, and on this project I was able to do it with a writer who had a huge impact on me. My only goal was to realize Pessoa’s original vision. Despite the fact that it was unusual to shoot a movie with a smartphone, I am pleased with the result.
