Even before the announcement of the Galaxy S22 smartphones, it was said that the company was booking about 700,000 devices for the home market. As it turns out now, Samsung underestimated the demand for the Galaxy S22 in South Korea.
According to ZDNet Korea, Samsung collected 1.02 million pre-orders for the Galaxy S22 line of smartphones, with 300,000 on the first day. The last equally popular smartphones of the Korean company were the Galaxy S8 series devices. Even the hit Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 failed to reach the level of the Galaxy S22. The most popular smartphone of the new line was the Galaxy S22 Ultra – it accounts for 60% of the total number of orders.
Such high demand will inevitably lead to the fact that the implementation of some orders will be delayed, but the home market has always been a priority for Samsung. So if in South Korea you have to wait for the ordered device, it is unlikely for a long time.
