Last year’s rumors were confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra displays will get the highest brightness levels for OLED screens.
Screen test results have been leaked to the Web, confirming that the Galaxy S22 + has a display diagonal of exactly 6.55 inches. The S22 Ultra has a 6.81-inch display. At the same time, both screens reached a peak brightness of 1750 cd / m22.
As a reminder, Samsung claims 1500 cd / m22 peak brightness for its S21 Ultra display. It is worth noting that the typical brightness of the screens is much lower. According to Phone Arena, Galaxy S21 Ultra display measurements showed a typical brightness of almost 900 cd / m22… The S22 Ultra and S22 + can now be expected to improve this result.

As a reminder, “peak brightness” refers to the highest brightness level that can be achieved when the display is turned on in Auto mode. Usually outdoors in too bright light, peak brightness is automatically activated. “Typical Brightness Level” is the maximum brightness of the display in manual mode.
The other good news about the S22 Ultra and S22 + displays is that they offer full coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. For HDR Netflix movies and TV shows, or high dynamic range YouTube content, these screens are great.
The presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S22 line is expected in February this year.
