Samsung releases a flagship Android tablet every year. Last year, the Galaxy Tab S7 + came along, and it came with a more affordable version in the form of the Galaxy Tab S7. In addition, Samsung has recently added another model to this line – Galaxy Tab S7 FE, including in Russia.
According to the thematic resource SamMobile, citing Korean sources, now Samsung plans to present to the public three models of the high-end Galaxy Tab S8 series, codenamed Basquait. One of them could be the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, a tablet with crazy specs that rocked SamMobile.
The Basquait 1 will be the entry-level model. It features an 11-inch LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate, 8000mAh battery and support for 45W charging. Also noted is the “fastest next generation processor”, 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of flash memory, a dual camera on the back and a thickness of 6.3 mm.
Basquait 2 will be the successor to the Galaxy Tab S7 +. It features a 12.4-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, under-screen fingerprint sensor, 10,090mAh battery and 45W charging. Basquait 2 will get the same processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage. The tablet will weigh 575 grams and be 5.7 mm thick.
Finally, Basquait 3 could hit store shelves as the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. It features a huge 14.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate – the size of a tablet that fits into the laptop field. It will be 5.5 mm thick and weigh 650 g. The 12,000 mAh battery also supports 45 W charging. The same processor is paired with 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/512 GB of storage, respectively.
Each of the models will receive an S Pen stylus and four speakers. The two younger models are equipped with an 8-megapixel front and dual main (13 and 5 megapixel) cameras on the back with flash. Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will have a dual front camera (8 and 5 megapixels).
Samsung will introduce a new premium keyboard for these tablets. All three tablets will receive variations of Wi-Fi, LTE and 5G. Prices for the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 + and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra start at $ 740, $ 1,120, and $ 1,320, respectively.
