Intel unveils Horseshoe foldable tablet with huge flexible screen

Last fall, it became known that Intel, Samsung and Microsoft are working together on the Horseshoe Bend project, which involves the creation of a mobile computer with a folding display. There was already information then that display manufacturers such as Samsung Display and BOE were developing 17-inch OLED panels for laptops with foldable screens.

Samsung was granted US patent D 910 620 yesterday, which describes the design of a foldable display and tablet. Mobile computer manufacturers who want to use the new form factor will be able to license Samsung’s development.

The corresponding Microsoft Surface Neo is expected to be unveiled in the second half of this year. Dell, HP and others will also launch similar products this year or next.
