Samsung Electronics has warned users that the Samsung Health app will soon be dropping support for older smartphones.

From March 22, 2021, Samsung Health updates will no longer be available for devices running Android 7.0 Nougat or an older OS. This does not mean that the application will immediately stop working on such devices. Samsung Health will continue to work, but only with a limited set of services and functions.
The alert notes that Samsung Health 6.16 will no longer be available on Android 7.0 Nougat. Thus, users will not be able to update the application or reinstall it if necessary.

Samsung recommends that users of devices with Android 7.0 Nougat and older OS upgrade to more modern versions – Android 8.0 Oreo and higher. If the update is not possible due to the end of support, then it is recommended to change the device.
