Samsung was expected to start beta testing its new One UI 5.0 firmware in the second half of July, but the company has only launched it now, and so far unofficially – this is reported by users from Germany (reports SamMobile). Apparently, a full-fledged announcement will take place at the upcoming Samsung presentation.
So far, only owners of the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones can test the One UI 5.0 beta version – judging by past experience, they will be the first to receive a stable version of the software when it is ready.
So far, Samsung has not particularly disclosed the innovations in One UI 5.0, but in early July, screenshots of the new firmware got into the network – the changes will be mostly cosmetic. For example, the notification menu will get more opacity and larger icons, and the notification about the need to grant the application permissions will become more similar to that in pure Android.
