Samsung has decided to introduce its first secure portable SSD. Model T7 Shield, according to the company itself, is its most durable portable solid state drive at the moment.

The device is protected from water and dust (IP65) and can withstand drops from a height of up to 3 meters. Of course, given the very essence of portable SSDs, most likely, the drive will get off only with scratches and when dropped from a significantly greater height, but still we are talking about the manufacturer’s statements.
The drive is equipped with a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 interface and is characterized by read and write speeds of 1050 and 1000 MB / s, respectively. The mass of the device is only 98 g.
The novelty will be on sale today. There are two modifications to choose from: 1 TB or 2 TB. There are also three colors: blue, black and grey. Prices are $160 and $290.
