Samsung has been rolling out the One UI 3.0 update based on the Android 11 operating system for its smartphones worldwide since December. So far, only premium devices have received the update. Now Galaxy M31 becomes the first budget smartphone to receive One UI 3.0 firmware.
Late last year, Samsung began rolling out beta versions of One UI 3.0 and Android 11 to Galaxy M31 users. Testing lasted no more than a month, now the South Korean tech giant has begun releasing a stable build for all users.

Interestingly, according to the previously published schedule, the Galaxy M31 should only receive the update in March 2020. But the smartphone started receiving the update two months ahead of schedule.
In addition to adding new features, the firmware also contains security patches for the Android operating system from January 2021. The update is about 2 GB in size.
