Samsung Display and LG Display have announced that they will be showcasing their latest display designs at the Society for Information Display (SID) 2021 this week.
Samsung Display is said to feature an S-Foldable display panel that folds in at least two places. A similar screen should be used in the upcoming foldable devices of the South Korean giant Samsung.
It is expected that the diagonal of this S-Foldable panel will be 7.2 inches, while when folded, a device equipped with such a screen will be the size of a small smartphone, and when unfolded it will resemble a tablet.

In addition, Samsung Display is expected to showcase a 17-inch foldable panel with a 4: 3 aspect ratio. The device can be used as a tablet when folded and as a monitor when unfolded. Samsung will also showcase sub-screen camera technology, as well as a stretchable display that users can slide out to the side.
On the other hand, LG Display is gearing up to showcase an 83-inch OLED TV panel with increased brightness. The company will also showcase a 48-inch flexible OLED display that can vibrate and play sound without using speakers.
In addition, LG is expected to showcase its retractable and transparent display panels as well as automotive plastic OLED displays at the event.
