Despite the fact that the Sony PlayStation 5 game console supports 4K mode with a frame rate of 120 Hz and HDR, due to various kinds of restrictions, not all TVs can use it. Samsung’s flagship models are among these TVs.
The problem is not new – we wrote about it at the end of December. But now it became known when the solution will appear. According to the German portal for technical support for users of Samsung TVs, Sony is already preparing a firmware update, which will allow the PS5 picture to be displayed on the Korean company’s TVs in the highest quality. Thus, the problem does not lie in the TVs (this is the emphasis in the message), but in the console itself. True, the firmware will have to wait – it will be released only in March. In the meantime, users are advised to either lower the frame rate to 60 Hz, or disable HDR.
