Samsung unveils Galaxy A52s 5G: Snapdragon 778G, 25W charging and water resistant

One of the hits this year is definitely the Galaxy A52 5G. However, given the rather high cost of the smartphone, it has weaknesses in the form of the Snapdragon 750G chipset and 15W charger. The new model with the “s” index is devoid of all these drawbacks.

The Galaxy A52s 5G is built on the Snapdragon 778G 6nm hardware platform, which contains four Kryo 670 (Cortex-A78) cores, a high-performance Adreno 642L GPU and a Snapdragon X53 modem with support for fifth generation cellular networks. This is a significant improvement over the Snapdragon 750G in terms of performance. Another significant change is the included 25W charger. As a reminder, the original model comes with 15W charging, although it technically also supports 25W wired fast charging.

There are no changes in the new smartphone model in terms of memory configuration, cameras and screen. The battery capacity has also remained the same, and the manufacturer promises up to two days of autonomy thanks to a more energy efficient chipset. The Galaxy A52s 5G is IP67 water and dust resistant and can be submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.

The smartphone will initially launch in the UK on September 3, starting at £ 410 (about $ 563). Pre-orders start on August 24th. The device will be available in four color options: Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Violet (purple) and Awesome Mint (mint).
