Yesterday, June 28, at the MWC event, Samsung employees officially demonstrated a new interface for smartwatches called One UI Watch – this software will run on the new Wear OS, which Samsung is currently developing in conjunction with Google. The company noted that when creating a new interface and platform as a whole, developers are striving to unify the experience of using a smartphone and a watch – for the sake of this, for example, the interface elements on the platforms will be similar. Moreover, the new wearable electronics will feature the installation of compatible applications.
For example, if a user installs an application on his smartphone, then similar software will be installed on the smart watch, if such an application is available there. Moreover, the settings between the smartphone and the watch will be synchronized – it will be possible to display several time zones on the dial, if they are indicated on the mobile device, and those numbers that the user has already blocked will be excluded on the smart watch. The same function works in the opposite direction – if you block the user on the smartwatch, then this blocking goes to the smartphone settings.

But the main innovation, perhaps, can be called the integration of a full-fledged own application store Google Play Store. Now the user will be able to install applications compatible with the gadget or even games directly from the dial of his smartwatch. Already now, for example, Couch25K, Facer, Adidas, GolfBuddy and Calm have shown their applications for this platform, plus there is a whole set of services from Google – Maps, Messages, YouTube Music and so on. In addition, representatives of Samsung and Google announced that in the near future a new tool for creating an interface for the face of a smart watch will appear for Android software developers.
