Samsung has officially unveiled the stable version of One UI Watch 4.5 based on Wear OS 3.5, marking the end of its beta testing program for its proprietary smartwatch skin. The new software solves the problem of supporting a limited number of wearable devices, and also looks more refined, which creates a pleasant overall impression.
Although One UI Watch 4.5 will be released later this year, the current update gives a partial glimpse of the features coming to many Samsung smartwatch models, including a new keyboard interface, watch face customization options, improved UI for SIM card selection, and etc. In terms of accessibility, One UI Watch 4.5 added a feature to adjust the display hue and contrast for people who have difficulty distinguishing colors. Users will also be able to reduce transparency, blur effects, or turn off animations entirely.

There are audio channel settings, that is, you can adjust the balance of sound output through a Bluetooth headset, change the duration of notifications, the volume bar and touch input. And all these settings are in one menu. The Home button is now even more versatile and can be assigned to launch frequently used functions.

The built-in QWERTY keyboard received support for typing using swipe, dictation, or handwriting recognition. The stable version of One UI Watch 4.5 has learned to work with two SIM cards, now you can choose which SIM card to use when making a call or sending a message. Corresponding changes have been added to the interface, it shows which SIM card is currently being used, and switching between SIM cards occurs on the watch in the dialer window.

One UI Watch 4.5 will arrive on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic in the third quarter of this year. Then all shell functions will become known.
