Samsung Electronics is preparing to release a new generation of its wireless headphones. Meanwhile, the network continues to accumulate details about the future novelty.
According to rumors, soon we will see the debut of the “real” Galaxy Buds 2. Two years have passed since Samsung unveiled the very first Galaxy Buds – along with the Galaxy S10 series of flagship smartphones. Since then, the Galaxy Buds + (with the Galaxy S20), the Galaxy Buds Live (with the Note 20), and the Galaxy Buds Pro (with the Galaxy S21) have appeared. It’s time for the Galaxy Buds 2 to arrive.
The model number of the headphones was already known – SM-R177, but now a completely official source has confirmed the name by which the device will appear on store shelves. The SM-R177 headphones have been certified by the Indonesian regulator and the name is directly indicated in the documentation – Samsung Galaxy Buds 2.
According to preliminary data, Galaxy Buds 2 resemble Galaxy Buds Pro in design, support Bluetooth 5.0 LE, AAC audio codec, receive protection from moisture and sweat, 60 mAh batteries and a 500 mAh charging case with support for Qi wireless charging. The earbuds will be available in at least four colors: black, green, purple and white.
The official debut of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is expected to take place alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4. The Korean manufacturer has already announced the launch date for the Galaxy Unpacked – August 3.
