Samsung’s first “indestructible” SSD. The company is preparing to introduce a secure external solid state drive

Samsung is preparing to introduce a new secure external SSD. Coincidentally or not, but the Indian division of the company published an advertising poster.

It’s unclear when the announcement is due, but Samsung promises it will happen soon. The poster does not describe any other features, but you can see a protected case, a USB-C port and an indicator.

There is an assumption that we are talking about a protected version of the Portable T7 model, which was released back in 2020. At the same time, it is hardly possible to call it obsolete. It is characterized by a data transfer rate of 1000 MB / s and is equipped with a USB-C 3.2 port. On the other hand, Samsung may well use the same name, but a completely different component base.

It is worth noting that the T7 model itself has a margin of safety. Samsung says that the device is able to withstand a drop of up to 2 meters thanks to the aluminum casing. But the novelty, which is captured in the image, clearly should be even more resistant to various influences.
