Samsung Electronics has begun rolling out a major software update for last year’s flagship Galaxy Note20 series of smartphones.

It follows a similar update for the Galaxy S20 (review), Galaxy S20 + (review) and Galaxy S20 Ultra (review). And, which is typical, at first the update appeared in Germany too.
An impressive 500MB update brings new possibilities for the Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra cameras (review). The firmware received numbers 980FXXU1DUC8 / N981BXXU1DUC8 and N986BXXU1DUC8, respectively.
We are talking about the modes that have appeared in the latest flagships of the Galaxy S21. The firmware brings portrait mode in low light conditions, Night Mode and Pro mode for the ultra-wide-angle camera module, as well as three new portrait mode effects that allow you to change the background to completely black, white or another color.
