South Korean giant Samsung recently launched its flagship Galaxy S21 smartphones, and the company may now be gearing up to launch the world’s first OLED laptop that supports 90Hz refresh rate.
This laptop is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2021. Joo Sun Choi, CEO of Samsung Display, said there are plans to start producing very large batches of 14-inch OLED displays at 90Hz for laptops in early March.
Samsung Display, Samsung’s display subsidiary, believes that consumers will quickly love the new 90Hz OLED displays, which will provide smoother visuals.
The company claims that OLED screens will make gaming and movies on laptops even more comfortable and enjoyable. Samsung also adds that the company’s 90Hz OLED displays are as fast as 120Hz LCDs.
It is expected that after Samsung, other companies will release their laptops with such screens.
