Samyang, also using the Rokinon brand, has announced the release of four Xeen cine lenses. Three of them are Meister lenses with a fixed focal length and T1.3 light transmission, and the fourth is an anamorphic lens with an anamorphic factor of 2x.

Meister lenses with focal lengths of 35, 50 and 85mm are designed for cameras up to 8K. They use Samyang’s patented “X Coating” technology. Unified design features, including a 300 ° rotatable focusing ring, 92 ° aperture ring, 114mm filter mounting thread and 127mm barrel, allow the same shooting accessory to be used with all the lenses in the range. The diaphragm in all cases is formed by 13 blades.
Canon EF, PL and Sony E mount options are available. The PL mount option supports I Technology protocol to record lens metadata including focal length, aperture and focal length.
Suitable for full-frame cameras, the Xeen 50mm T2.3 2x also features a 300º rotatable focusing ring, 114mm filter mounting thread and a 127mm body. However, the aperture ring rotates 89.5 ° and the diaphragm itself consists of 15 blades. Anamorphic lens, available only with PL mount, covers 2.55: 1 CinemaScope frame.
The mechanical parts of all four lenses are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and metal, and the diaphragm and focus markings are made with fluorescent paint.
There is no information about prices and dates of the start of sales yet.
