San Marino: “Herd immunity has been achieved” – More than 7 in 10 residents have been vaccinated

THE San Marino announced that over 70% of its residents have completed the cycle vaccination against coronavirus and, consequently, that the “herd immunity” has achieved.

It is noted that the vaccination campaign started last March, as well as that in percentage 90% the Russian vaccine was used Sputnik-V.

As APE BPE writes, the state of San Marino has 33,000 inhabitants and no cases of the virus were recorded for weeks. About fifteen days ago, however, new cases began to emerge, due to the Delta variant.

At this stage thirty citizens are positive for coronavirus. They all present them mild symptoms and are located in home isolation.

In the meantime, due to the fact that the Russian vaccine has not been approved by him European Medicines Agency, those citizens of San Marino who visit Italy from August 6 onwards, they are not expected to be able to sit indoors in cafes and restaurants, and enter sports and cultural facilities because they will not have a “green card”. The only alternative is to have frequent tests to confirm that you are HIV negative.
