According to the company, Pedro Andrade would be fractionating invoices and receipts for the same appointment or procedure, a practice that would allow to artificially increase the reimbursed amount.
An audit conducted by the operator revealed that, between January 2022 and October 2024, 6,637 reimbursement requests related to alleged care at Pedro Andrade Clinic, located in Jardim Paulista, a noble area of São Paulo. Of the total of R $ 2,787,447.11 requested, R $ 2,306,754.53 were effectively refunded.
According to SulAmérica, the documents presented by the beneficiaries had values often below the usual market price and, in many cases, were identical in sequence, which raised suspicions.
The operator also pointed out that some invoices were issued on dates in which the doctor was traveling, which would reinforce the hypothesis of fraud.
