Yemen’s Houthi rebels announced that the Greek -owned Magic Seas merchant ship that was targeted yesterday was sunk in the Red Sea today. The guerrillas took responsibility for the attack on Magic Seas, under the flag of Liberia, which was sailing off the port of Hondaida, claiming that the ship had anchored in an Israeli port. Houthi targeted “the ship off the coast of Yemen, which belongs to a company that violated the ban on ports in occupied Palestine (Israel),” said Houthi military spokesman Yaia Sari. The attack took place with “two drones, five ballistic rockets and Cruise missiles,” he added. The Greek managing company stressed to Reuters that the 19 -member crew was safely transferred to Djibouti today.
