It is from 2016 that a group did not win the Sanremo Festival but the Måneskin, able to overturn the result of the first four evenings, did it: in fact, they are the ones who hold the most coveted prize in their hands of Amadeus and Fiorello, deeply grateful (and almost incredulous) in front of the verdict, the result of the sum of the votes of the public, the opinion poll jury, that of the Press Room and that of the members of the Orchestra. The Måneskin, who owe their name to a Danish word, Victoria’s native language, which means “moonlight”, made themselves known to the general public in 2017, when they came second in the eleventh edition of X Factor escorted by judge Manuel Agnelli, who chose to accept their invitation and return to Sanremo to perform alongside them at the duet evening. Between hits like Morirò da re and Torna a casa, Måneskin conquer the music scene thanks to the glam-rock sounds that allow them to enter the hearts of an audience increasingly hungry for energy.
