Caesar Cremonini celebrates twenty years of career on the Ariston stagesuper guest of the 72nd edition of Sanremo Festival conducted by Amadeus. The former frontman of the Lunapop, 41 years old, until now he had never succumbed to the charm of the oldest singing event in Italy. This time, however, he decided to bring forward the release of the seventh album: The girl of the future. The song as explained by the Bolognese singer-songwriter is not dedicated – as many believed – to 25-year-old girlfriend Martina Maggiore. But many Cremonini fans they hope that his “first time” in Sanremo coincides with debut in public with the student with which it is a steady couple, as far away from the spotlight as possible, since 2018.
Before meeting her, Cremonini was considered the “golden bachelor” of Italian music. Ended the story with Malika Ayane, to which he had been linked from 2009 to 2011, of girlfriends, at least officers, for years there had been no trace. Then in the 2018 the very young Martina arrived in the life of the singer-songwriter. Little is known about her, born in Rimini but Bolognese by adoption. Even her Instagram profile appears “private”. On Cremonini’s, the shots together can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Finally, between one joke and the next, here is the real statement: “I don’t need you who are younger and stupid, you are not the first nor the last, but you have not yet understood that I have fallen in love with you? ”
The cover of the single was conceived by the girl as if it were a sort of caricature-revenge: a black tooth, showy eyebrows and a very blond tuft. This is how Martina portrayed Cesare, renaming the photo «stupid young man!». On the other hand, the song almost tells a return to Caesar’s youth and light-heartedness, thanks to a generational break with his better half. In the interviews details about their history, the singer never gave them. But a couple of years ago, talking to Friendadmitted that love “is once again at the center” of his life.
