Sanremo 2022, will Beppe Vessicchio be there?

There are figures who, for a thousand different reasons, manage to unite everyone. No, we are not talking about the debate on the election of the new President of the Republic, but about Beppe Vessicchio. Become a real pop icon in recent years, the famous composer and conductor is a name strongly linked to the history of the Sanremo Festival.

From 1990 to today, they are in fact more than twenty his participations in the Italian Song Festival as a conductor. Among his forays at the Ariston Theater, Vessicchio also took home four victories: with the Piccola Orchestra Avion Travel (2000), with Alexia (2003), with Valerio Scanu (2010) and with Roberto Vecchioni (2011). But that’s not all. Beppe Vessicchio’s curriculum is chock full of awards. Just to mention a recent experience of his, he conducted the orchestra of the largest rock band in the world, the project Rockin’1000, at the Artemio Franchi stadium in Florence in 2018.

At the 2017 Sanremo Festival, no competing artist had chosen him as their conductor and his absence immediately sparked a great debate on social media. Since, every year, the same question returns promptly: will Vessicchio be there?

We respond immediately. In the next editionBeppe Vessicchio will be there live from 1 to 5 February. The “Maestro” will work alongside as conductor The Vibrations, competing with the song Very, very much. This will not be the first time that the composer will work with the Milanese pop rock group led by Francesco Sarcina: on the occasion of the last participation of Le Vibrazioni at the Festival (in 2020 with the song Where, placed fourth), it was Beppe Vessicchio the conductor. On that occasion, the stalls of the Ariston Theater had given the musician an explosive standing ovation.
