Sanremo 2022, with Dargen D’Amico we rediscover lightness

Definitions don’t go far when it comes to Dargen D’Amico. He doesn’t like labels. He calls himself “cantautorapper”. But he is also a producer, DJ, author, rapper. The artist is in any case one of the surprises of this Festival for the general public, even if his career is full of collaborations and projects.

In more than ten years of career, Dargen has worked with a lot of names. From Fabri Fibra to Marracash. But also Tedua, Rancore, Benny Benassi, 883, etc. In recent times the name of Dargen D’Amico has often been associated with that of Fedez because the artist appears as the author in many traces of his latest project Inhuman.

With her Where do you dance Dargen D’Amico is a candidate for the 2022 Festival hit. His performances on the Ariston stage are pure energy, between the desire to return to normalcy and the desire to dance in every condition and situation in life. In today’s game, Thursday 3 February, he also managed to insert more “bonuses” for those who included him in his team at FantaSanremo, the game (inspired by the famous FantaCalcio) that is pushing many artists to make unlikely greetings or gestures details. In the case of Jacopo D’Amico (this is his name at the registry office), the artist has also changed the words of his song, singing “Ciao Zia Mara” instead of “Ciao Zio Pino”.

Viewers will also have noticed another detail. During the performance, the whole orchestra wore sunglasses like his. For Dargen D’Amico (from March 4th out with his new album In dreams no one is monogamous) sunglasses are a help to overcome the annoyance of stage lights, of course. But also a cover by Linus, a way not to show himself totally. And keep a veil of mystery. Which, we know, never hurts.
