The lucky waves must be welcomed without asking too many questions and that is why, when they learned that this year 6 of them would become part of the Big, the competitors of Sanremo Giovani rejoiced like never before, aware of the incredible opportunity offered to them by Amadeus which, for the first time, has chosen to bring the total number of participants in Sanremo to 28. A choice dictated precisely by the desire to give a chance to very young talents who hope to make music a work and who see the Sanremo stage as an opportunity not to be missed. There were 1,200 artists who presented themselves before the musical commission in almost three months of auditions, and 12 were admitted to the final on 16 December broadcast live on Rai1.
To win – as we said – there were 6: gIANMARIA – former star of X Factor of Emma’s roster that took home the most jury votes – Shari, i Colla Zio, Sethu, Will And Olly. These are the names chosen by the artistic commission chaired by Amadeus, Federica Lentini, Massimo Martelli and Leonardo De Amicis, committed to recognizing the purest talents and, in their opinion, the most deserving to face the 22 Big already selected by the artistic director directly at the Theater Ariston from 7 to 11 February. In the past, the young among the Bigs have sparked – one above all Mahmood, who triumphed surprisingly in 2019 in front of the super-favorite Ultimo, who also came out a few years earlier from Sanremo Giovani -, and this is a bit of hope of Amadeus: seeing Sanremo not only as an opportunity to consecrate already known talents, but as a springboard for stars who are taking their first steps and still have so much to say.
Gianmaria – Monster
Colla Zio – I do not feel like
Shari – Selfish
Olly – Dust
Sethu – Lost causes
Will – Stupid
