Sanremo 2023, the story of the dispute between J-Ax and Fedez

Some quarrels end in tarallucci and wine, others find the epilogue on the stage of the San Remo Festival 2023. As in the case of J-Ax and Fedez (who have not spoken for four years). In fact, on the evening of the duets, the husband of Chiara Ferragni (one of the co-hosts of the singing festival) will support Article 31 with a medley of their greatest hits.

Peace made? Obviously yes and also for some time, as confirmed by the charity concert organized together in Milan last summer, Love Mi. But let’s go in order and compare the two versions, which coincide in terms of timing but not in the way the events took place.

Fedez – according to his speech in the program The conversation – he had associated the end of the relationship with his friend’s change of management, which he would deny right up to the last moment (including the concert at San Siro together). The two had the same manager, from which they later separated to found a label all of them. At one point, a collaborator broke away from the group and created a competing company, taking advantage of the fact that the Ferragnez were in Los Angeles for Chiara’s first pregnancy. To put it in Federico’s words, in that period he was “very fragile and not very lucid” and it took six songs to dissect what he felt after the end of his friendship with J-Ax.

According to the reconstruction of J-Ax during an interview with Beasts, in that June of 2018 his was not a lie, but a misunderstanding born in a moment of great stress for both. They were, in fact, veterans of the overwhelming success of Communists with Rolexcertified four times platinum in 2017. But, again according to Alessandro Aleotti (aka J-Ax) there is also the age difference because Federico Leonardo Lucia (aka Fedez) is 17 years younger than him, which means a different life experience.

With different words, precisely on the occasion of the 2022 charity concert, they summarized and explained it with a joint message, signed with the first names of both, on Instagram: «And here we are, with a little more white hair, two fathers, two husbands and perhaps a little more adults than before. We’ve learned that it’s easy to leave people behind and that putting pride aside and hugging each other again even when you’ve hurt yourself takes courage. In this historical moment where being divided is normal and having enemies is almost a status symbol, archiving the differences and focusing on the beautiful moments lived together is perhaps the right thing to live a peaceful existence. Life is a strange coincidence, we met again the day when Federico discovered he had pancreatic cancer after we spoke on the phone a few days earlier after 4 years of silence».

Only time can tell what has in store for them in the future, but the San Remo Festival 2023 will certainly have a hand in it.
