Sanremo, the most listened to songs of the last ten years in the Spotify chart (but there are no Måneskin)

The San Remo Festival it hasn’t started yet and it already holds incredible surprises. The latest in chronological order comes from Spotify reveals which are the most listened to songs in the last ten years of the event. Since 2013, to be exact, when the music streaming platform started hosting the songs in the competition.

Who bet on the podium of Maneskin (super guests of the third episode of 2023) will be disappointed because the Roman band with Shut up and good won the singing event in the 2021 edition – and then theEurovision Song Contest – but they are still in fifth place. The crown goes to who, the following year, won the trophy of the Ariston Theater that is Blanco and Mahmood with Chills. The wonder duo also earned their fifth place in the Top 50 chart in the world, following their Festival win. In the days following the event, in fact, last year in Spotify’s Top 50 Italy the first ten positions were occupied by songs in the competition.

The ranking of the most listened to songs of the last decade of San Remo Festival proceed with one silver medal for Boomdabash and the song For a million and with the bronze one for Mamhood, this time for Money.
Ultimo is positioned both in fourth position (with Your details) and in the sixth (with The dance of uncertainties). Next we find Fasma and GG with To feel alivethe Nuclear Tactical Penguins with Ringo StarrColapesce and Dimartino with Very light music and Madame with Voice.

However, the more curious can have fun finding out who were the most listened to artists by age group. An example? Over 35s go crazy for Nothing by Malika AyaneMillennials prefer Flames in the eyes by Coma Cose, Gen Z is crazy about Fasma and GG and the song To feel alive while the very young (under 17) focus on The world explodes except us.

As per tradition, playlists and content on the Ligurian event hosted by Amadeus are available in Spotify’s Sanremo hub. Users can then predict the victory of the three finalists with a live in-app experience that can be shared on users’ social networks.

The podcast is back after last year Whenever by Camihawke and Alice Venturi, with special behind-the-scenes editions of Italian Song Festival.
