Santos and Fluminense launch a special shirt for October Rosa; Look

Santos and Fluminense launched this Monday (3) special shirts for an awareness campaign for Pink October — the month for preventing and fighting breast cancer.

Both bring pink as the main tone and details of the team colors on the sleeves and collar. The sale of the new models starts this Tuesday (4). The Brazilian Federation of Philanthropic Institutions (Femama) will receive 5% of the net sales of the products.

In publicizing the campaign, the teams emphasize that studies reveal that the early diagnosis of breast cancer offers up to a 95% chance of cure.

The clubs warn that 27% of women have never taken the exam, and that 46.2% do it once a year. The incidence of the disease increases progressively with age, especially after the age of 50. Therefore, this public must redouble care and prevention.

According to data from the National Cancer Institute (Inca), it is estimated that the number of new cases of the disease will exceed 66 thousand in 2022, an incidence rate of almost 44 cases per 100 thousand people.

The new products also pay homage to the centenary of the 1922 Modern Art Week, with geometric “jacquard” graphics in the design of the shirts.
