São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro should have a Christmas weekend of “isolated rains, mainly in the afternoon, with firm weather at supper time”, according to Climatempo meteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki.
In an interview with CNN Radio she stated that throughout the week, afternoons will be warm in the states.
In the coming days, Sassaki pointed out that “the risk of storms increases in the eastern part of São Paulo and the mountainous region of Rio.”
Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais should also have heavy rains.
In the South, there is “little chance of rain, only the coastal areas of Paraná and Santa Catarina may have cloudiness, but the predominance is of firm weather.”
The Midwest, on the other hand, will have a lot of rain in Goiás and Mato Grosso, as well as in the Federal District.
“The alert continues until the weekend, but Mato Grosso do Sul should only have isolated blows.”
In the Northeast, there is only rain in the interior of the states, such as Bahia, southern Maranhão and Piauí.
For the rest, “time is firm, even at Christmas.”
In the North, Rondônia and the south of Pará will have heavy rains, but the other states will have muggy weather, above 30 degrees.
